“Sven Väth’s Cocoon series celebrates its twentieth Ibiza anniversary in 2019. In addition to the weekly top-class club line up and day events in various locations, mastermind Väth asked the well-known drawing duo Bringmann & Kopetzki for an exclusive poster design. The artwork, spanning 20 years of club life and prominent DJ colleagues (Richie Hawtin, Luciano, Ricardo Villalobos, Adam Beyer, Alter Ego, Nina Kravitz, Loco Dice, among others), was sprinkled throughout the summer in excerpts across the label’s social media channels. By the end of the year, the puzzle pieces came together and a strictly limited edition version was made available to the Cocoon fan base via an Instagram flash sale. Prices for the numbered and hand-signed print on fine paper with light-resistant ink range from €150 to €180. Within six minutes, the entire edition was sold out. Jens Bringmann, from the Berlin office of the renowned graphic team, on the surprisingly fast sale: “We are very pleased that we were once again able to take up the pen for the Cocoon label. Working closely with the label makers, we managed to pull off a really nice motif – a nod to the island’s party lifestyle and Cocoon’s unique vibe.
