Many adults enjoy watching crime shows on TV; children also love exciting stories. And the most successful child detectives on German television are ‘Die Pfefferkörner’ (The Peppercorns). Since 1999, so for 18 years now, they have been investigating in Hamburg’s Speicherstadt and surrounding areas. The main actors had to be replaced several times when they outgrew their roles. But for the first time, a new ‘Pfefferkörner’ team is being introduced in a cinema film.
